We’re thrilled to share that a significant milestone was reached on Thursday last week with the successful concrete pour for the base of the main pool!
This is a huge step forward in the long-awaited development of our outdoor pool, bringing the vision even closer to reality.
Previously, the manu pool base was poured and block walls installed, laying the foundation for the full pool complex. With the base of the main pool now complete, the next step is constructing the block walls, which will truly start to bring the full shape of the pool to life.
Next up: work will begin on the learners’ pool, located just to the north of the main pool. This area will provide a dedicated space for beginner swimmers and water confidence programmes — a key part of our commitment to making the facility accessible and welcoming for all.
This progress marks an incredibly exciting moment in the journey toward delivering a vibrant, community-focused outdoor pool. After years of planning, fundraising, and hard work, it’s amazing to see the project taking real, tangible shape.
