Project Update: One Month In

We are officially underway. After nearly 20 years of dedicated fundraising and planning, construction of the long-awaited Edgeware Pool has officially begun… And notice of upcoming AGM.

A month into the job, significant progress has been made on site. Holes have been dug, and piling is expected to be completed by the end of this week.

Despite a few rainy days, excavation of the pools has been successfully carried out, keeping us on track with the project timeline.

With an anticipated build time of 30 weeks, the pool is expected to be fully operational in time for Christmas.

This pool is going to be a vital community asset – providing a safe, accessible venue for physical activity and wellness, while serving as a vibrant gathering space for families and neighbours.

We extend our thanks to the Christchurch City Council, the Lottery Grants Board, NZ Community Trust, Rātā Foundation, and the many local donors whose generous support has made this project possible.
