We know we promised an opening for Summer 2025 /2026 but…
We know things have been a little quiet from us lately, and some of you may have wondered if the project had gone to sleep.
The good news is that plenty of progress has been happening behind the scenes! The pools have been formed and are ready for the liners, the balance tanks, pipework and overflow channels have been installed, and the decking is completed.
A short pause is necessary due to a technical issue, this needs to be resolved before we can move forward with building the plant room and installing the facilities buildings.
Our team and specialists are working hard to sort this out so we can get back on site as soon as possible, and be open for 2026 / 2027 Summer.
Our pool experts have also advised that installing the liner is best done in drier conditions, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather — although the last few days might suggest otherwise! Of course, the weather can change quickly, but also we can’t “fill the pool” with water until the plant room is fully operational.
Our “Fill the Pool” campaign (buy 1L for $10) is still going strong! While a few people quite rightly pointed out that it might be cheaper to buy water from the supermarket (we appreciated the humour!), the campaign was always meant in a figurative sense.
What we’re really aiming to do is fill the pool with community support. Your ongoing contributions help us purchase the extra equipment and finishing touches needed to get everything ready, and ensure we have a healthy means to support the pool through its very first season.
